What General Pest Control Covers
Last updated: October 2026
General Pest Control covers the inspection and treatment activities stated in your estimate or service agreement for the identified pest concern. The agreement should describe the areas to be treated and any preparation or follow-up expected from you. Work outside that description, including specialized treatments, wildlife services, structural repairs, exclusion work, or treatment of newly identified pests, requires a separate written agreement before it begins.
Delaware Pest Solutions follows each pesticide product label as required by the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA). Regulated applications are performed by appropriately certified commercial applicators under Delaware Pesticide Law, 3 Del.
C. Chapter 12, and Delaware pesticide regulations, 3 DE Admin.
Code 1201. Restricted-use products are subject to applicable EPA certification requirements.
Applicable pesticide waste is handled under RCRA hazardous-waste rules. We also follow relevant OSHA Hazard Communication requirements, including 29 CFR 1910.1200, where applicable. Requirements may involve the Delaware Department of Agriculture and other responsible agencies.
Setting, Changing, or Canceling a Visit
Appointments are arranged through Delaware Pest Solutions using the contact details provided with your estimate or service agreement. We will confirm the planned service and any access or preparation instructions.
Please provide accurate contact information and make sure an adult can provide access when needed. If you need to cancel or move a visit, contact us as soon as possible and before the scheduled arrival time.
Any cancellation charge or other appointment condition applies only if it was disclosed and accepted in your agreement.
We may need to reschedule for weather, safety concerns, technician availability, or conditions at the property that prevent the work from being done as described. If inspection shows that the requested work differs from the agreed scope, we will explain the proposed change and any price adjustment before proceeding.
Extra work requires your approval; we will not treat a conversation about options as authorization. You may ask us to clarify the schedule, preparation steps, or proposed changes before confirming.
Estimates, Approved Work, and Payment
An estimate describes the work and price proposed based on the information available at the time. It may depend on an inspection, access to the affected areas, and the pest activity observed.
The estimate is not an agreement to perform work beyond its stated scope. Before service begins, review the description, any preparation instructions, and payment terms, and approve the proposed work.
Payment is due according to the timing and method stated in your estimate or service agreement. If the document does not make a payment term clear, contact Delaware Pest Solutions for clarification before work starts.
A request for additional treatment, a different area, or another service may change the scope and cost. We will explain the change and obtain your approval before doing that additional work.
No particular price, financing option, or outcome is promised unless it appears in a written offer accepted by you. If you believe an invoice does not match the approved work, contact us promptly with the relevant estimate or service record so we can review it.
Written Warranty Terms and Service Limits
Delaware Pest Solutions does not state a standard warranty duration or guarantee in these general terms. Any warranty, retreatment promise, or other coverage applies only when it is provided in writing for the specific service.
That writing should identify the covered work, duration, conditions, and steps needed to request service. Ask for clarification before approving work if the written coverage is unclear.
Coverage may depend on following preparation and prevention instructions, providing access, and keeping the service area in the agreed condition. A written warranty may exclude conditions outside the treatment scope, new pest activity, or changes to the property; the specific written terms control.
Do not assume that a treatment prevents every future pest sighting or covers repairs, cleaning, or damage. If you believe covered work needs attention, contact us using the details in your service paperwork and describe the issue.
Nothing in this section adds a warranty that was not agreed to in writing or removes rights that cannot legally be waived.
Responsibility for Property Conditions and Service
To the extent allowed by law, Delaware Pest Solutions’ responsibility for a claim arising from a service is limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. This limit does not apply where the law prohibits it, including liability that cannot legally be limited.
We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, hidden conditions, or effects unrelated to our work, where applicable law allows that limitation. Please report concerns promptly and allow a reasonable opportunity to review the service and relevant records.
Pesticide work is performed according to each product label and applicable requirements, including FIFRA, Delaware Pesticide Law (3 Del. C.
Chapter 12), and Delaware pesticide regulations (3 DE Admin. Code 1201).
Regulated applications require applicable Delaware commercial applicator certification; restricted-use products are subject to EPA certification rules. Applicable pesticide waste is managed under RCRA.
OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard, 29 CFR 1910.1200, applies where relevant. These terms do not excuse failure to follow applicable law or a product label.

Michael Bennett
Service Expert at Delaware Pest Solutions
I started in pest control in the Wilmington area, learning how older rowhomes, basements, and shared walls can affect the way pests move through a property. I built this company to give Delaware homeowners clear inspections and treatment plans suited to local conditions, from humid summer mosquito and ant activity to rodents seeking shelter in colder months.
